What You’ll Do
As a Cathodic Protection Technician, you’ll help protect critical infrastructure from corrosion by performing electrical testing, troubleshooting, inspections, and field evaluations.
Responsibilities include:
· Perform cathodic protection testing on pipelines, storage tanks, water systems, marine structures, transit systems, and other infrastructure
· Evaluate and troubleshoot galvanic and impressed current cathodic protection systems
· Perform structure-to-soil potential surveys
· Perform continuity testing and insulating joint testing
· Test and adjust rectifiers and other cathodic protection equipment
· Conduct track-to-earth resistance testing for transit systems
· Collect field data using specialized electronic equipment
· Prepare reports, sketches, and documentation using Microsoft Excel and other software
· Maintain testing equipment and company vehicles
· Work closely with engineers, project managers, contractors, and clients

Preferred Qualifications
· AMPP (formerly NACE) CP Tester or CP Technician Certification (preferred but not required)
· Cathodic protection, electrical testing, or utility construction experience
· OSHA 10-Hour Safety Training (preferred)
· First Aid/CPR Certification (preferred)
· Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel

Travel
