Senior Project Manager - Environmental

We’re looking for a bright and motivated Senior Project Manager to join our Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation team in Hamilton, New Jersey.
As the ideal candidate, you are excited to join our team and contribute to complex environmental consulting projects within New Jersey and the surrounding area, as needed. The Senior Project Manager will manage client and regulator communications, oversee complex projects, and ensure that deliverables are completed by the Business Unit. The ideal candidate is a New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP). The candidate must possess at least 12 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry in New Jersey and demonstrate proficient knowledge of New Jersey environmental regulations and guidance.
A Day in the life of a Senior Project Manager
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to initiate projects, including establishing project teams, developing initiation documents, project schedules, statements of work, and cost estimates.
- Ensure project teams have the appropriate technical resources and an optimized cost structure.
- Manage project implementation by coordinating resources to prevent scheduling conflicts and resolve issues related to scope or resource changes.
- Serve as the primary client contact for assigned projects, providing regular updates to ensure clear expectations and timely communication regarding technical and regulatory issues, scope changes, and more.
- Maximize project profitability by managing costs within the project budget and communicating any budget changes to the appropriate client contacts and internal staff.
- Prepare and submit timesheets, purchase orders, equipment requests, and expense reports promptly and in accordance with Pinchin LLC’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accurate and timely client invoicing.
- Design and/or provide supervision and technical support for field investigations, assessments, remediation system installations, and evaluations.
- Conduct final senior reviews of all reports, letters, work plans, and related documents.
- Mentor junior and technical staff to share expertise and support their technical and professional development
- Other job duties as assigned.
What You Bring To The Pinchin Team
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- 12+ years of professional experience in an environmental consulting or engineering company
- New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP)
- Project management and budgeting experience
- Demonstrated success in client acquisition and retention. Attend business development meetings.
- Ability to effectively plan and execute projects, prioritizing work, and communicating scope changes in a timely manner
- Excellent writing, editing, technical and organizational skills along with the ability to problem solve.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work independently and also thrive in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, adequate insurance, and availability to travel for work when required. Mileage is paid when personal vehicle is used.
- Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and the ability to pass a company physical.
