POSITION TITLE: FORKLIFT DRIVER & BILLING
LOCATION: Hammond, LA

SUMMARY:
Responsible for all activities associated with safely operating and caring for the forklift.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner. Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift including pre and post shift inspections.
- Assist other forklift operators as necessary and is backup to Warehouse Manager, including billing
- Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas.
- Maintain accurate stock location in storage area by paperwork and computer.
- Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
- Adheres to daily production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery and service goals.
- Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner including Inventory Management adherence with accurate inventory counts, following shipping and receiving procedures, scanning load tags; maintaining proper stock levels; timely inventory transactions, compliance with cycle counts and audit requirements
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
- Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
- Must have 3-4 years' experience operating a forklift
- Experience with warehouse billing
- AMTECH software knowledge a plus
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form
- Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- The individual must have a working knowledge of the following:
- Product layouts and production specifications
- Product quality specifications
- Quality standards
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Required to obtain and maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
