Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Part-Time Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the comfort, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our residential community at Hillcrest Estates. Your hands-on skills and proactive approach will ensure that all facilities and equipment operate smoothly, creating a welcoming environment for residents. This position offers flexible hours and an opportunity to develop your maintenance expertise while making a positive impact on residents’ daily lives.

Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate will need to have a working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing and drywall / painting skills. Experience in diagnosing and repairing appliances such as stoves, refrigerators and dishwashers are a plus, but is not required, as we are willing to train the right person. The candidate will also have excellent time management and organizational skills , as this position allows for the candidate to work with little to no supervision.
• Day-to-day tasks may include but are not limited to performing routine repairs such as installing light fixtures and blinds, fixing faucet water leaks, and running toilets, replacing light switches and outlets and changing garbage disposals, snow removal with a snowblower from the sidewalks in the winter, and trimming bushes and pulling weeds in the summer.
• The ideal candidate selected will be on-call for after-hours emergencies only.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or residential property upkeep, with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
• Customer service mindset with a proactive attitude toward resolving maintenance issues in a swift, professional manner.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

• This position requires the individual to help remove snow from the community sidewalks in the winter time, even on holidays & weekends. Are you willing to perform this essential task

Experience:

• Basic electrical: 1 year (Preferred)
• Basic Plumbing: 1 year (Preferred)
