- Ensures that all possible safety measures are observed, including taking proper care of equipment and proper surveillance of program participants.
- Attend all training sessions and any additional staff meetings.
- Work flexible hours including, early mornings, afternoon/evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Verify student-athletes are eligible by governing bodies and Reading School District Athletic policies.
- Demonstrates the ability to plan and manage practices/training sessions.
- Secure equipment and facilities after each usage
- Communicate with RSD admin, safe schools, custodial services and/or RPD as needed.
- Be a good role model to student-athletes
- Distribute, collect and track uniforms/equipment
- Requisition necessary equipment
- Support all RSD athletics
- Physically perform all skills required of a coach.
- Hear noises and distress signals in a crowded athletic facility.
- Able to withstand extreme weather conditions
- Able to lift at least 20 pounds.
