Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance/Groundskeeping Technician to ensure the optimal operation and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and landscaping systems. Your expertise will help create a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors alike. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing, and mechanical equipment using schematics and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Repair or replace electrical equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and mechanical components to ensure continuous operation.
- Operate welding tools and perform fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Maintain landscaping by mowing lawns, trimming trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and performing residential painting to enhance curb appeal.
- Manage maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies; keep accurate records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, including supervising team members or contractors when necessary.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents or staff with excellent customer service skills while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or groundskeeping with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Skilled in electrical work, including electrical equipment repair and understanding schematics.
- Experience with HVAC system repair and plumbing system maintenance is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other specialized tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments or residential properties is a plus.
- Strong leadership or supervising experience demonstrating the ability to oversee projects or teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English; able to read technical schematics clearly.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management; basic understanding of electrical safety standards.
