Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive property inspections using digital cameras, measuring wheels, inspection tools, and mobile devices to assess conditions accurately.
- Utilize GPS technology to locate sites precisely and document findings with high-quality photographs for detailed reporting.
- Conduct risk analysis by identifying potential hazards related to fire codes, OSHA safety standards, water damage, mold remediation, and construction issues.
- Apply loss control techniques and fraud prevention strategies to detect anomalies and ensure compliance with insurance policies.
- Analyze trends in property damage or safety violations to recommend proactive risk management measures.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain inspection results, safety concerns, and recommended actions clearly and professionally.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, findings, and follow-up actions using financial software and digital reporting tools.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property or construction inspection, water damage restoration, mold remediation or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance principles, property insurance policies, workers' compensation insurance, and underwriting processes.
- Familiarity with fire codes, OSHA safety standards, workplace safety protocols, and risk management practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), GPS devices, digital cameras for surveying, measuring wheels, inspection tools, and mobile devices.
- Ability to perform quantitative analysis and identify trends through data collection and interpretation.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Knowledge of financial software applications relevant to insurance claims or risk assessment is a plus.
