Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This position will be responsible for administering and supporting a wide range of human resources functions, including employee relations, performance management, benefits and payroll administration, compliance, training, recruitment, and employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a comprehensive understanding of HR practices, and the ability to foster a positive workplace culture that aligns with our mission of excellence in patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR resource for employee questions or concerns, responding accurately and professionally while providing guidance to employees and leaders on workplace issues, policies, and procedures through multiple channels (in-person, email, phone, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Partner with leaders to manage employee relations issues to include performance management, staffing, coaching, attendance, and the disciplinary documentation process.
- Coach and mentor supervisors and managers on performance management, employee development, communication, conflict resolution, and best practices.
- Assist with the exit interview process as needed, and report exit review data to leaders.
- Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Regularly review current best practices and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Review and enter changes within the HRIS timely and accurately.
- Provide support for payroll and benefits administration functions.
- Assist in the implementation and communication of policies, procedures, and systems, ensuring compliance, employee adoption, and operational effectiveness.
- Conduct compensation reviews and benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness and alignment with organizational goals, providing recommendations for salary adjustments and compensation strategies.
- Oversee employee engagement and recognition initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture.
- Communicate practice-wide, or as appropriate, with company updates.
- Collaborate with leaders to understand the organizational goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including but not limited to job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Assist with the new hire orientation and onboarding process.
- Partner with leaders to review and update job descriptions as needed.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience. Must have experience in the key areas of HR supporting the business: handling employee relations, compensation decisions, recruiting and performance management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to coach and develop others.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Detail oriented with excellent organization skills.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Some travel required between locations. Reimbursement provided.
