Position Overview
Rider University invites applications for an Enterprise Reporting Analyst. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Operations, the Enterprise Reporting Analyst designs, develops, and delivers reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that support functional users and institutional leadership across Enrollment Management and other administrative areas. This position transforms complex institutional data into clear, actionable reporting products that support operational decision-making, planning, and performance monitoring.
The role serves as a reporting partner to campus stakeholders by gathering requirements, translating business needs into technical reporting solutions, and delivering accurate and timely dashboards and reports across multiple enterprise systems. The Enterprise Reporting Analyst ensures reporting consistency, usability, and reliability through validation, collaboration, and ongoing refinement of reporting tools.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in reporting, data analysis, or business intelligence in a higher education or ERP environment.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and reporting from an enterprise data warehouse or Operational Data Store (ODS).
- Experience with Ellucian Banner (Student, Financial Aid, Finance, or related modules) or comparable ERP systems.
- Experience developing reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics or similar enterprise reporting tools.
- Ability to gather, document, and translate business requirements into reporting solutions and deliverables.
- Experience validating and reconciling data.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, data integrity, and reporting logic.
- Ability to manage multiple reporting requests and deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with functional offices.
- Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience with Cognos Framework Manager, report authoring, or query development in an enterprise environment
- Experience working in a higher education Institutional Research, Enrollment Management Analytics, or central reporting environment.
- Familiarity with FERPA and higher education data security and reporting standards.
