Our maintenance team serves as the backbone of the flight line, directly ensuring that daily training operations remain safe, compliant, and perfectly on schedule. Hourly Compensation: $35.00 – $40.00 / hour (Base pay established based on your specific GA piston experience and technical qualifications).
Sign-On Incentive: A $1,000 sign-on bonus is awarded to the successful candidate upon joining the team.
Relocation Package: Financial relocation assistance is available on a case-by-case basis to facilitate a seamless transition to the Georgetown area.
Shift Structures: 10-hour operational shifts (offering excellent consecutive days off). Both dedicated day and night shift rotations are available to fit your lifestyle preferences.

This position is tailored for proactive, detail-oriented Airframe & Powerplant mechanics who take deep professional pride in their craftsmanship and maintain an uncompromising approach to safety. Reporting to the maintenance leadership team, you will execute both scheduled phase inspections and rapid unscheduled defect rectifications across our active training fleet, ensuring every tail number meets strict airworthiness benchmarks.
Perform comprehensive scheduled inspections, routine servicing, and unscheduled maintenance across a modern fleet of piston-powered general aviation airframes.
Isolate, diagnose, and repair mechanical, structural, and electrical faults, legally returning aircraft to flight status in strict accordance with FAA mandates and company standards.
Utilize and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, technical blueprints, SBs, and Airworthiness Directives (ADs).
Author precise, regulatory-compliant aircraft logbook entries and digital maintenance records.
Maintain a pristine, highly organized workspace and actively contribute to the shop's proactive safety protocols.
Coordinate seamlessly with flight dispatchers and fellow technicians to optimize daily fleet availability.
Adapt and reprioritize daily tasks fluidly in response to real-time flight schedules and urgent line maintenance needs.
An active, unencumbered FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
A minimum of 3 years of recent, verifiable experience as a certificated mechanic working on general aviation piston aircraft ( Piper, Diamond, Cirrus , or highly comparable platforms).
Prior background working within a high-cycle flight school, fleet operator, or busy GA repair station is strongly preferred.
Thorough, working comprehension of 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91 regulatory requirements.
Proven capacity to make independent, confident, and accurate airworthiness determinations.
Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and digital maintenance tracking software.
Willingness to work assigned day or night shift blocks based on the training academy's operational demands.
Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and tolerate extended periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and working in both hangar and flight-line environments.
