Rockstar is on the lookout for a passionate DevOps/Systems Engineer who has a strong understanding of Windows systems and an inclination to automate repetitive tasks and develop tooling.
This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar's NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan.
WHAT WE DO
- The Rockstar Games Online Services Team is a passionate development group, focused on growing and maintaining the technology platform that powers Rockstar's online titles and our ability to deliver world-class player experiences.
- We work closely with developers, DBAs, Build Engineers, and Security teams to provide operational support for critical services that enable connected experiences found across our game franchises.
- We build world-class infrastructure for our high traffic, high visibility web sites and services.
- We constantly review our processes, automate wherever possible, and develop our own toolchains.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Automate workflows and contribute to our codebase in Powershell, C#, Python, and Go.
- Build using Github, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and configuration management (DSC/Chef).
- Build and maintain Windows servers in a highly available, public facing environment.
- Maintain and support .NET/ASP.NET web sites and services.
- Build and support SQL Server failover clusters.
- Manage VMware clusters, storage systems, and monitoring systems.
- Perform root cause analysis through multiple infrastructure layers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other related field.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and ability to write clear code.
- Good understanding of operating systems, TCP/IP networking, and HTTP.
- Genuine curiosity and an impulse to understand how things work.
- Observant and detail oriented.
- Capable of working independently while also collaborating as part of a larger team.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
