Mid-Level Program Analyst FBI – Criminal Justice Information Services Division
Full Time Position in Clarksburg WV
M-F 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Job Description
The Program Analyst will support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), National Instant Criminal Background Check
System (NICS) Section at the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division in Clarksburg, WV. The Program Analyst will work with the Senior Program Analyst and NICS personnel in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment, to provide the timely determination of a person's eligibility to possess firearms or explosives in accordance with federal law. The government prefers contractor personnel be assigned full time (40 hours/week) and be available on site at the CJIS facility throughout the periods of performance. All work shall take place within the NICS Section, with a possibility to work Monday through Sunday, including all federal holidays except Christmas. Analysts must be willing to work multiple shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the agency’s need.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the accuracy of all work completed and held accountable to the standards set forth in the NICS
training Unit personnel and reviewed in accordance with the quality standards set within the NICS Section
- Compose proper transaction research comments
- Verify/validate documents received and current documents withing the NICS and/or other CJIS Division databases
- Conduct research on explosives permit checks and analyze information for validity
- Provide analysis (reviewing transactions mark for processing, processing work identified within a transaction, and
- Conduct research and analysis on delay queue transactions in accordance with SOPs. The contract staff will be
- Conduct verification on specific originating agency identifiers and correct/update corresponding contact and agency
- Contact agencies as needed. Document any contact-related issues to include agency, method of contact, and
- Provide updated or any new contact information received while in correspondence with any agency to the BRT.
- Continuously evaluate existing procedures, processes, techniques, models, and/or systems related to the work
- Assist the NICS Section with composing and maintaining adequate documentation of all work as required under the
- Complete necessary document clean-up of existing records to update and/or purge documentation as needed.
- Maintain proper control of their individually assigned Brady Identification Numbers.
- Maintain proper control and safeguard all assigned hardware in accordance set by FBI standards and policies.
- May be asked to assist with mission critical work as the need arises.

Current Work Schedule
After successfully completed training, this contract does allow for situational telework on a limited basis. Each
contract personnel telework station must have no less than one (1) megabyte of reliable internet access to perform their daily job duties. Situational telework can be denied at any time due to poor work performance. Employee must adhere to the FBI guidelines while on situational telework.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college WITH at least one (1) year of relevant experience, OR a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience Must demonstrate attention to detail. • Must demonstrate oral communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team environment. • Must have the ability to not share work information with others outside assigned NICS Unit/Section and its partners during and after employment.
- Shall demonstrate written communication skills sufficient to explain actions taken and how recommendations were derived.
- Must have proficient computer skills, including the ability to navigate Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and
Excel) and Google Chrome; navigate multiple browser windows, and copy/paste to and from different applications.
- Must reside within 60 miles of client work site.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
