Position Overview:
This role is responsible for building and sustaining strategic relationships with community-based organizations, businesses, and local stakeholders to create strong referral pathways and a direct pipeline to new patient encounters. The Manager ensures consistent representation of the Center in community forums, establishes high-impact partnerships, and aligns outreach efforts with organizational growth and population health goals.
The Manager oversees and administers the AmeriCorps program in full compliance with program requirements, while fostering a culture of service, accountability, and professional development among members. The manager also oversees the Ryan Chelsea-Clinton mobile unit and provides day-to-day oversight of the mobile unit, ensuring efficient operations, adequate staffing, and achievement of outreach and delivery service, liaise with mobile unit maintenance, reduce days off-service, operations and quality care delivery inclusive of linkage agreements.
Additionally, this position directs outreach operations across both clinic-based and community settings, including planning and executing events that elevate visibility and engagement.
Through a data-informed and relationship-driven approach, this role ensures seamless linkage from community touchpoints to care, strengthening continuity, access, and patient retention. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Ryan Health.
Essential Functions:
- Assure the dissemination of information about Ryan Chelsea-Clinton’s services throughout the community.
- Represent the Center and AmeriCorps Program in community meetings, external agency forums, special events, and regional or national conferences, serving as a liaison to community-based organizations, elected officials, local businesses, and other key stakeholders.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage community outreach projects, health events, engagement activities, giveaway purchases, and inventory to support visibility, access, and patient linkage goals.
- Lead the recruitment, interviewing, selection, placement, onboarding, and training of AmeriCorps members assigned across Ryan Health sites.
- Develop AmeriCorps position descriptions, member assignments, work plans, and service expectations aligned with program goals and community health priorities.
- Engage elected officials and civic partners, including participation in press conferences and public events that advance Center visibility, community partnerships, and outreach priorities.
- Coordinate mobile unit maintenance contracts, vendor relationships, and operational follow-up to minimize off-road days and support reliable service delivery.
- Plan, develop, and deliver AmeriCorps member and site supervisor trainings, including pre-service orientation, in-service training, workshops, and ongoing learning opportunities.
- Ensure programmatic, fiscal, legal, and regulatory compliance with AmeriCorps grant requirements, including adherence to service, documentation, and reporting standards.
- Communicate regularly with national AmeriCorps staff, site supervisors, members, alumni, FQHC leadership, peer program coordinators, and local AmeriCorps programs to support alignment and program effectiveness.
- Establish performance standards and monitor AmeriCorps member deliverables to ensure service activities are completed timely, accurately, and in accordance with grant expectations.
- Oversee performance measurement, data collection, analysis, and grantee reporting to demonstrate impact, compliance, and progress toward program goals.
- Maintain AmeriCorps program documentation, budget tracking, staffing records, payroll coordination, member files, and assignment records.
- Prepare for and participate in funder site visits, audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews, ensuring required materials and program records are complete and accessible.
- Support the Planning Department in identifying, preparing, and securing additional funding opportunities through grants, donations, and community partnerships.
- Participate in internal committees, cross-functional workgroups, and Network initiatives as assigned by the Deputy Director or Executive Director.
- In coordination with the Executive Director or designee, draft and distribute memos, announcements, and press releases regarding Center activities, events, partnerships, and community information.
- Demonstrate a professional, courteous, and respectful approach when engaging with patients, community partners, AmeriCorps members, supervisors, and colleagues.
- Report unusual problems, operational concerns, compliance issues, or significant occurrences to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Monitor activities and safeguard confidential information to support ongoing compliance with HIPAA and organizational privacy requirements.
- Participate in professional development through conferences, webinars, workgroups, newsletters, and other training opportunities relevant to outreach, AmeriCorps administration, and community health.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director or Executive Director to support Center operations, outreach priorities, and organizational goals.
Minimum Experience and Skills Required:
Two years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education, Licenses, and/or Certifications Required:
Bachelor's degree required, Master’s preferred.
