School of Communication, Media & the Arts - Adjunct Instructor
The School of Communication, Media & the Arts in the College of Arts and Sciences at Sacred Heart University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses across its academic programs. Teaching needs vary by semester and may include courses in communication, media studies, media production, and related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the candidate's area of expertise.
- Create an engaging, student-centered learning environment that supports student success.
- Incorporate current academic, creative, and industry practices into instruction.
- Provide timely communication, feedback, and mentorship to students.
- Collaborate with faculty and support the School's commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
- Terminal degree in the relevant discipline preferred. Bachelor’s degree and/or significant professional, creative, or industry experience appropriate to the area of instruction may be considered.
- Prior college-level teaching experience preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise and current knowledge in the relevant academic, creative, or professional field.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with students.
- Commitment to student learning and the ability to contribute to an inclusive and collaborative learning environment.
