Summary: The Program Manager is an essential member of the Alcohol & Drug Program (ADP) team supporting Safety Center’s DUI program. Through collaborative leadership with division leadership, executive management and strategic project teams, the Program Manager is responsible for ensuring the desired culture and profitability goals are achieved via exceptional program delivery and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Administration:
Under the direction of the ADP Vice President, direct and coordinate specific activities of the Alcohol and Drug Programs and assist with formulating and administering Safety Center policies and promoting a culture of collaboration, equity, and success. Assist with forecast requirements for ADP and preparation of annual budgets. Assure the positive outcome of internal audits as well as audits conducted by county and/or state officials.
Training:
In conjunction with Division Leadership, develop and implement staff training platforms, materials, and tools. Create and maintain training database for advancement of all ADP C.A.R.E Team Members. This includes training associated with, but not limited to day-to-day responsibilities, program offerings, operating policies, and customer service.
Program Development and Delivery:
Evaluate and update educational materials for Safety Center Alcohol and Drug program. Monitor trends and regulatory requirements to identify opportunities to develop, expand and improve programs to meet the changing needs of our client-base.
Management:
Ensure your Team is well-staffed, trained, and operates in a collaborative fashion. Monitor performance to identify opportunities to increase quality, improve efficiencies, and ensure the Team’s values are in alignment with the C.A.R.E. philosophy
Recruitment:
In collaboration with ADP Vice President and Safety Center Human Resources identify and maintain optimal staffing level of C.A.R.E. Team Members.
Development:
Build on strengths by acquiring skills and knowledge to fulfill the roles and responsibilities required of the job position. Provide constructive ongoing feedback to help enhance the overall performance of the ADP department and to help maintain high standards in ADP program delivery.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees of the assigned office of the Alcohol & Drug Programs Division. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience:
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a high-paced office environment.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be proficient in prioritizing tasks and effectively addressing customer needs, including serving as an escalation point for customer complaints.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- At least 2 years’ supervisory experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual team members with demonstrated fluency in all levels of communication (speaking, writing, reading) in English and a second language that benefits the clients and organization (current needs are Spanish or Russian languages) may be eligible for an additional $500 annual bonus award.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Knowledge of basic office equipment should include: Internet and email, copy and fax machines, postage meter and telephone.
