What You’ll Do
Case Management & Client Support
- Manage a caseload of foster care cases, providing ongoing support and advocacy
- Build relationships with children, caregivers, and families to support stability and well-being
- Offer guidance, referrals, and mentoring to those involved in each case
Placement Coordination & Court Involvement
- Coordinate initial placements and any necessary changes in placement
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, providing updates and documentation
- Support children and caregivers through transitions with hands-on involvement
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with referral sources, courts, agencies, and community organizations
- Maintain consistent communication with all stakeholders involved in each case
- Advocate for appropriate services and support systems
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely case records, reports, and required documentation
- Track client progress and ensure compliance with all program and regulatory standards
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related human services field required
- State of Michigan licensure preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in child welfare preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while managing a dynamic caseload
Additional Requirements
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a good driving record
- Reliable personal transportation and current automobile insurance
- Willingness to participate in a 24-hour on-call support system as needed
