San Luis Valley Health (SLVH) is seeking a full time Patient Access Manager to join our RMC Admissions team! This position is responsible for managing all admissions, customer service, and daily operations.
What You'll Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Supervisory and healthcare experience.
- Strong computer and technology skills, including proficiency with all Microsoft Office products. Preferred experience with electronic medical records and/or medical billing databases.
- Demonstrated skill and experience working in complex and fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
- Leads and guides admission team, providing coaching, training, support and leadership.
- Completes interviews and hiring, corrective actions and annual evaluations of staff. Seeks assistance from Director and/or HR as needed.
- Coordinates scheduling of staff including managing time off requests, sick call offs, etc. Coordinates coverage and/or covers shifts as needed. Approves timecards and monitors OT.
- Leads monthly staff meetings and maintains minutes on SharePoint.
- Ensures accuracy, timeliness, compliance and security of registration staff through strong communication with the Service Learning Coordinators.
- Resolve patient complaints timely and/or escalate to Director as needed.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports to Director as requested, i.e. EOC checklist, Variance reports, HealthStream, etc.
- Complete PDSA's and/or Do It Projects as needed. Works with SLC's to complete and implement new processes and workflows.
- Participate in team and/or organizational committees as required or assigned.
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational classes, webinars, workshops, literature and classes.
