Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SMO Analyst to support enterprise IT sourcing and supplier management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiations, and supplier governance. This role will partner with business stakeholders, Legal, Finance, and IT teams to drive sourcing events, optimize supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with corporate procurement standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary sourcing contact for assigned business units.
- Lead end-to-end IT sourcing activities including planning, supplier evaluation, RFP/RFI management, contract negotiations, and supplier selection.
- Conduct spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve supplier value.
- Develop sourcing strategies that maximize value while minimizing business and supplier risk.
- Negotiate technology contracts and collaborate with Legal on contract terms, MSAs, SOWs, and renewals.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor supplier financial performance, market trends, and vendor risks; recommend mitigation strategies.
- Review supplier contracts to ensure pricing, service levels, and contract terms remain optimized.
- Identify opportunities for contract consolidation, renewals, terminations, and vendor rationalization.
- Support procurement transformation initiatives and supplier governance programs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and execute sourcing strategies.
- Maintain confidentiality of procurement data, budgets, contracts, and strategic planning information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in:
- IT Procurement
- Strategic Sourcing
- Vendor Management
- Supplier Management
- Technology Procurement
- Experience managing:
- IT vendors
- Complex sourcing events
- RFP/RFI/RFQ processes
- Contract negotiation
- Strong understanding of supplier governance and procurement best practices.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating technology contracts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise procurement transformation initiatives.
- Experience with procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Workday, Oracle Procurement, Jaggaer, or ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of supplier performance management and vendor risk management.
- Experience in enterprise IT or healthcare environments is a plus.
