Graduate Lab AssistantJob Description:
PRIMARY PURPOSE/GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Serve as a Graduate Lab Assistant for Wood Neuropsychology of Decision-Making lab. The Graduate Lab Assistant will assist with scheduling lab meetings, creating agenda, taking minutes, determining goals for week, scheduling participants, and managing other undergraduate research assistants. Experience with this lab or a similar lab is preferred.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This information is intended to be a descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. The list of essential functions below does not identify all duties performed by any single incumbent in this position. Perform other duties as assigned.
Prepare lab agenda in collaboration with Dr. Wood.
Maintain lab space.
Instruct students on basic neuropsychological tools and lab protocols.
Work with students in small groups to assist completing projects.
Assist with basic statistical procedures.
Be available one to two hours per week for office hours.
Active support for the College’s Principles of Community and Institutional Values in the performance of job duties.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Individuals must possess knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the position, or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions will be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in psychology or neuroscience, or any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and ability.
Coursework in neurological disorders or neuropsychology is preferred.
A strong interest in a career in the clinical neurosciences is preferred.

HOURS & CLASSIFICATION AND STATUS:
This is a temporary status, part-time, (up to 5 hours per week), non-benefits eligible, non-exempt position. The position is anticipated to end on or before July 15, 2028. The assignment may be extended upon mutual agreement of both parties.
Hours may vary due to the needs of the College or department.
Hourly rate range: $20.00-$21.88. The hourly rate of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.

None.
