Small World Learning Center is currently hiring a caring and dependable Lead Infant Teacher for our Chanhassen childcare center. If you love working with babies and want to be part of a supportive team, we would love to meet you.
This position is perfect for someone with experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education who enjoys creating a calm, nurturing environment for infants.
Our infant teachers focus on helping babies grow through responsive care, developmentally appropriate activities, and strong communication with families.
Position Details
Location: Chanhassen, MN
Position: Lead Infant Teacher
Schedule: Full-time
Pay: $20–$25 per hour depending on experience
What You'll Do
- Care for infants ages 6 weeks – 16 months
- Lead a structured infant classroom in a licensed childcare center
- Support infants with feeding, naps, and daily routines
- Plan simple, developmentally appropriate activities
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
- Communicate daily with parents about their child's day
- Work as part of a supportive teaching team
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with infants in childcare or daycare preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development
- Ability to meet Minnesota DCYF teacher requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Reliable, patient, and nurturing personality
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
