Duties

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the imaging session
• Operate X-ray, MRI, CT, and other imaging equipment with precision, adhering to safety protocols and technical standards
• Position patients correctly to capture clear images while minimizing discomfort and exposure to radiation
• Review images for quality assurance and collaborate with radiologists or physicians to ensure diagnostic accuracy
• Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment usage in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of all imaging equipment and workspaces
• Follow all safety guidelines related to radiation exposure and infection control practices

Skills

• Proficiency in operating various medical imaging technologies such as X-ray, MRI, CT scans, and fluoroscopy systems
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and radiologic positioning techniques
• Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care
• Attention to detail for capturing high-quality images and maintaining accurate documentation
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy clinical environment
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to radiation protection and infection prevention
• Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (e.g., ARRT certification or equivalent) is required; ongoing education is preferred
