Job Description
Southern Team Auto Mall is looking for Service Advisors to add to our Team! Service Advisors are the friendly staff members that are at the desk to help you when you take your car in for oil changes, repairs, etc. If you have previous experience in Customer-Facing Service roles, have previously worked as an Automotive Service Advisor or just like being kind and helpful, this could be the job for you! Our Service Advisors are the center of communication for all service and repair activities within the Service Department. Being the primary point of contact for all automotive service and repair matters, the Service Advisor must listen to and thoroughly understand each and every customer's concerns and arrange for appropriate service/repairs. Once completed, you will also relay all necessary information from the technician to the customer clearly and effectively. Here, Service Advisors make sure the customer knows what repairs are needed and what repairs and maintenance are recommended.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Customer Interaction: Greeting customers, understanding their needs and preferences, and guiding them through the selection process
- Product Knowledge: Demonstrating vehicle features, explaining specifications, and providing detailed information about different makes and models. This may include certification for various manufacturers
- Managing the sales process from start to finish, including paperwork completion and coordinating with other departments like finance
- Relationship Building: Building strong customer relationships to foster repeat business and referrals
- Follow-Up: Following up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. Including new and existing internet, phone, and email communication
- Product Knowledge Updates: Staying up-to-date on new vehicle models, features, and industry trends

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communiciation skills are essential for interacting with customers and colleagues
- Interpersonal Skills: Building rapport with customers and establishing strong relationships is crucial
- Negotiation Skills: Effectively negotiating prices and terms with customers
- Product Knowledge: A thorough understanding of vehicle features, specifications, and pricing
- Sales Skills: Closing deals, handling objections, and managing the sales process effectively
- Customer Service Skills: Providing exceptional customer service throughout the buying process
- Time Management: Managing time effectively to handle multiple customers and tasks simultaneously
- Problem-Solving: Addressing customer concerns and resolving issues efficiently
***This position requires each employee to work on site. This in NOT a remote position and your attendance is required inorder to maintain employment. This position will require standing, sitting, reaching, and bending. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
