Southern Health Partners is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide onsite behavioral health services at the Calumet County Jail. If you're a licensed social worker or professional counselor who is passionate about helping individuals during some of the most challenging moments in their lives, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while enjoying the flexibility of a part-time schedule.
Working in correctional healthcare allows you to focus on patient care, crisis intervention, and collaboration with an experienced medical team in a safe, structured environment where your clinical expertise truly matters.
What You'll Do
✨ Conduct mental health assessments and screenings
✨ Provide individual counseling and crisis intervention
✨ Develop and monitor treatment plans
✨ Collaborate with medical providers, correctional staff, and community resources
✨ Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
✨ Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care when appropriate
✨ Promote a therapeutic and professional environment while maintaining patient confidentiality
Qualifications
✔ Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field
✔ Current Wisconsin licensure as one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Professional Counselor In Training (if permitted under contract requirements)
- Other equivalent Wisconsin behavioral health licensure qualifying as a QMHP
✔ Experience providing behavioral health services preferred
✔ Strong assessment, crisis intervention, communication, and documentation skills
✔ Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
