Welder/Fabricator
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG (GMAW) welding to fabricate and repair storage containers and related structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, measurements, work orders, and fabrication instructions.
- Operate welding equipment, fabrication tools, power tools, and operational machinery safely and efficiently.
- Repair structural damage, install modifications, and complete custom fabrication projects as assigned.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards, structural integrity, and operational functionality.
- Ensure all welds meet quality standards and pass AWS 3G and 4G weld tests.
- Maintain clean and organized fabrication, welding, and operational work areas.
- Follow company safety procedures, OSHA standards, and operational guidelines.
- Coordinate with shop personnel, service technicians, and management regarding fabrication priorities and operational needs.
- Assist with inventory usage, material organization, and equipment maintenance.
- Report equipment concerns, material shortages, and operational issues to management.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Prior experience with MIG (GMAW) welding.
- Ability to pass AWS 3G and 4G weld tests.
- Knowledge and experience with basic shop equipment (ironworker, brake, grinder, drill press, etc.).
- Clean record and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work both in the shop and at job sites, including outdoor work during the summer months.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.
