Job Summary: Spectrum Academy is seeking a dedicated, part-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our multidisciplinary school team at our North Salt Lake campus. In this role, you will support students with disabilities by helping them develop, restore, and improve the motor skills, safety, and mobility needed to succeed in their everyday school routines. You will work closely with teachers, families, and staff to create safe, accessible learning environments that prepare students for the future.
Essential Job Functions
To be considered for this role an applicant must be able to perform the following duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Direct Support: Deliver comprehensive, data-driven PT services to students through classroom interventions, small groups, and individual pull-out sessions.
- Plan & Assess: Administer evaluations, interpret performance data, and help design, monitor, and adjust individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaboration: Partner with families, teachers, and the Related Services Team to build a supportive learning environment and address barriers to student success.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate case records and write evaluation reports that comply with federal, state, and local school regulations.
- Outreach & Education: Lead professional development workshops for staff and participate in family outreach events, such as Parent Empowerment Nights.
- Supervision: Supervise student interns and Related Services Assistants as needed.
- Adherence: Follow all Board policies, school guidelines, and administrative directives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution (Required).
- Licensure: Current Utah State Physical Therapist license (Required).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric or school-based practice (Preferred).

- Ability to Relocate: North Salt Lake, UT (Required to relocate before starting work)
