Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Development Executive with strong experience in the travel industry to build relationships, expand market reach, and generate new business opportunities. This role involves managing B2B travel agency accounts, providing training and support on company travel platforms, and developing new sales leads. Candidates must be comfortable meeting local travel agencies, traveling frequently within the state, and maintaining strong client relationships.
The role is Hybrid (Chicago) or Remote (New Jersey) depending on location.
Key Responsibilities
- Cover the B2B travel market and drive product positioning and brand visibility.
- Develop new business opportunities and partnerships within the travel trade.
- Provide platform training, support, and service to existing travel agency clients.
- Manage sales of travel services to travel agents and generate new sales leads.
- Follow up on quotes and inquiries to maximize conversions.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and onboard new agencies to grow business.
- Coordinate with operations team for pre sales requirements and client support.
- Travel regularly (up to 80 percent) to meet travel agencies across the region.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the travel industry.
- Background in business development and account management.
- Good command of English and local language.
- Strong knowledge of the local travel trade and outbound destinations.
- Experience working with travel agents, hotels, and destination partners.
- Basic computer skills including MS Office, email, and internet tools.
- Valid US driving license.
- Must join within 30 days.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in outbound travel agencies.
- IATA certification (preferred).
- Knowledge of destinations, hotels, and travel agency networks in Chicago or New Jersey.
Pay: $36,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
