Description
This is a DOJ grant funded position. Title and duties comply with grant requirements.
The Director of Sexual Violence Prevention and Education creates, executes, and evaluates the university's efforts to create a safe and more supportive campus community and prevent sexual violence. Leads the Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) and oversees outreach and education efforts for students. Understands, completes, and reports on requirements of the Department of Justice grant funding this position

- Participate and assist with University events and serve on University-wide committees as requested.
- Other projects and duties as assigned and in compliance with grant guidelines/restrictions.
- Collaborates with other members of the Student Affairs division to advance goals and initiatives of the division.
Typical Qualifications
BA/BS in public health, health education, higher education, or related field; a master’s degree in a related field such as higher education, public health, or human services is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years full time experience in the field of victim services (including the development and implementation of SADDVS prevention and education) and understanding of SADDVS and related issues on a college campus. Demonstrated past experience working with student populations. Experience in a college of university setting highly preferred.

- Strong knowledge of principles, research, and best practices as they relate to primary prevention, specifically in a college setting.

- Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- Proven strong facilitation and training skills.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and assess sexual violence prevention strategies and education.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and establish collaborative partnerships with a diverse set of colleagues, students, and community stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership and time management skills.
- Enthusiasm for working with undergraduate students as an educator and mentor in a residential college setting.
- Demonstrated self-starter who has the ability to work independently and collaboratively to generate positive change.
- Develop and demonstrate a multicultural awareness and contribute to cultivating an inclusive, diverse and respectful University community.
- Demonstrate civil and inclusive behavior when interacting with staff, faculty, students and visitors to the University.
- Promote a flexible, collaborative and inclusive work and living environment and engage in educational opportunities to increase awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion
