In this role, you will be responsible for administering nursing care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse Supervisor, providing both direct and indirect care that upholds our commitment to excellence.

What You Will Do:
Provide Compassionate Care
- Assists in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care, including making daily rounds and visits with each resident.
- Records and reports all adverse symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in residents' conditions. Recognizes and responds to priorities in care, updating charts and nursing notes as needed.
- Takes and records vital signs, and prepares and administers medications, treatments, and other procedures (e.g., tube feedings, suctioning, IV therapy) as permitted under the Nurse Practice Act.
- Admits, discharges, and transfers residents, completing required paperwork and providing initial assessments.
- Provides or assists with the care, comfort, and well-being of residents, including bathing, feeding, ambulating, and directing rehabilitation efforts.
- Ensures resident safety by answering call bells and addressing urgent needs.
Collaborate with Dynamic Team
- Demonstrates competence in using MatrixCare Electronic Medical Records and the automatic medication dispensing machine.
- Participates in care planning, updates care plans, and communicates plans to Nurse Aides.
- Assists with physician rounds, ensuring compliance with orders and regulations.
- Supervises and provides leadership to Nurse Aides, including assigning care tasks and conducting performance evaluations.
- Participates in/conducts shift reports and maintains day-to-day communication logs.
- Cleans and restocks medication carts and ensures proper narcotic counts with incoming shifts.
- Assists in ordering necessary supplies and medications for resident care.
- Assists in orienting and training new LPNs and Nurse Aides and attends both in-house and external training programs.
Build Meaningful Relationships
- Keeps residents and families informed of changes in condition, care plans, treatments, and medications. Provides emotional support to family members.
- Assists with the nursing rehabilitation program and maintains ongoing communication with residents and families regarding care goals.
- Maintains confidentiality.
