About Break Boss

Break Boss Cards & Collectibles is one of Northeast Pennsylvania's fastest-growing sports card and trading card game destinations. We run a high-energy retail store in Plains, PA and a live breaking operation across TikTok Live, TikTok Shop, Whatnot, and eBay Live — with a community that shows up for every drop. We're growing fast and we need someone who can keep up.

The Role

We're hiring a Social Media Manager to own our online presence from strategy to execution. You'll plan and create content, manage our channels, grow our following, and keep our community engaged between live shows. This role has real ownership — you're not scheduling someone else's ideas, you're building the content engine across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

If you're a hobbyist who also knows how to make content pop, or a content creator who's genuinely curious about the card world, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day posting across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok Shop
• Plan and execute a content calendar around breaks, product drops, store events, and hobby culture
• Film, edit, and publish short-form video content for TikTok and Instagram Reels; adapt content for Facebook
• Grow our following through consistent, on-brand content and active community engagement across all platforms
• Manage our Facebook page — posts, events, group engagement, and community replies
• Respond to DMs and comments across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook in a timely, voice-consistent way
• Write TikTok Shop product copy and promotional posts
• Track performance metrics (views, reach, follower growth, engagement) across all platforms and report on what's working
• Bring fresh content ideas to the table — we're open to what you see working elsewhere

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

• Native fluency on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook — you use these platforms daily and understand how they actually work
• Experience managing a brand, creator, or business account (your own counts)
• Comfortable filming and editing short-form video (CapCut, Adobe, or whatever you work in)
• Strong writing skills for captions, DMs, and community replies
• Self-directed — you can take a content direction and run with it without needing constant check-ins
• Available some evenings and weekends when we run live breaks

Nice-to-haves:

• Interest in or knowledge of sports cards, Pokémon/TCG, or the hobby community
• Familiarity with TikTok Shop, Whatnot, or eBay Live
• Experience with Meta Business Suite or Facebook Ads Manager
• Experience with content analytics and platform insights
• Eye for visual branding and consistency

Schedule

Primarily flexible — content work can largely be done on your schedule. Some evening and weekend availability needed to capture live break content.

Compensation
