We're excited to welcome an Irrigation Technician to our team in Bradenton, FL!
Your Opportunity:
As an Irrigation Technician within our Maintenance Department, you'll be key to ensuring the ongoing health and efficiency of irrigation systems for our diverse commercial properties. You'll focus on proactive maintenance, timely repairs, and system optimization, directly contributing to the beauty and sustainability of our clients' landscapes. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within a dynamic and expanding business. You'll report directly to the Maintenance Irrigation Manager of a branch and/or region and will be based at our local branch office.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of existing commercial irrigation systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex irrigation issues, including leaks, clogs, electrical problems, and controller malfunctions.
- Adjust and optimize irrigation systems for water efficiency and plant health, considering seasonal and environmental factors.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and address irrigation needs as part of a comprehensive landscape care plan.
- Read and interpret irrigation plans and schematics to understand system layouts and components.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, materials used, and system conditions.
- Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Manager, team members, and clients regarding irrigation system status and recommendations.
- Operate and maintain company vehicles and a variety of irrigation tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Irrigation Technician with at least 2 years' direct experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of irrigation system components, installation techniques, and best practices.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve installation issues.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and specifications.
- Strong understanding of water management principles and efficient irrigation practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethics, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
