Office Lead / Surgical Care Coordinator
We're seeking an experienced Office Lead / Surgical Care Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day flow of our busy three-provider surgical practice (one ENT surgeon and two General Surgeons). This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys supporting both patients and staff while ensuring efficient clinic and surgical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily front and back office operations.
- Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures.
- Obtain insurance authorizations and verify benefits.
- Serve as the primary resource for office staff and assist with training.
- Ensure an exceptional patient experience from consultation through surgery.
- Work closely with physicians, hospitals, surgery centers, and referring offices.
- Manage provider schedules and clinic workflow.
- Assist with problem-solving and process improvement.
- Maintain compliance with practice policies and documentation standards.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical office experience (surgical specialty preferred).
- Surgery scheduling and insurance authorization experience required.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a team.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
