Your role
PALATABILITY TRIALS
- Perform palatability test procedures in accordance with established rotating schedules, procedures, and instructions in a manner that ensures reliability of the results
- Accurately record data and manage testing software as required.
- Record abnormal observations related to equipment, animals, and facility to Panelis Management.
ANIMAL HUSBANDRY
- Perform procedures as described in the husbandry protocol and by Panelis Management.
- Clean, spot clean and sanitize animal rooms, kennels, scales, trays, and equipment, to keep animals clean and comfortable.
- Keep outdoor spaces clean and free from hazards to the animals.
- Control and restock supplies as needed.
- Perform individual specific goals-assigned in the specified time frame
ANIMAL CARE
- Observe animals daily for indication of clinical illness and report to Vet Staff and Panelis Management.
- Ensure kittens and puppies are successfully integrated into the facility and colony
- Perform tasks related to animal’s wellbeing, grooming, training, and socialization as scheduled.
- Participate in animal adoption activities as requested.
FACILITY MAINTENANCE / EQUIPMENT UPKEEP
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues with the automatic feeding system in the catteries.
- Notify Panelis Managers concerning facility equipment and structural problems.
- Assist with minor facility maintenance, as required.
- Ensure the upkeep of the interior and exterior of the animal facility following the 5S protocol
About you
- Be able to follow safety rules, standard operation procedures, polices and USDA regulations
- Demonstrate effective communication and professionalism
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with pets preferred
- Achieve assigned tasks with pride and sense of accomplishment
- Demonstrates clear understanding and ability to perform the assigned job duties in an effective manner
- Basic computers skills
- Be able to walk, train and exercise dogs, in addition to interacting with cats.
- Be able lift up to 50 lbs.
- Constantly work in outdoor weather conditions.
