The Lead Risk Analytics and Reporting role will be the central engine for transforming raw data into actionable intelligence that drives proactive risk management and ensures robust regulatory adherence across the organization. In this role we are looking to leverage advanced data analysis and visualization tools to accurately measure, track, and monitor financial, operational, and regulatory risks, providing stakeholders with timely, transparent, and comprehensive insights essential for effective decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Core Responsibilities
Data Strategy and Infrastructure:
- Data Sourcing and Integrity: Define and manage the risk and compliance data requirements, ensuring the collection, aggregation, and validation of high-quality data from disparate internal and external systems.
- Architecture Partnership: Collaborate with Data Engineering and IT teams to design and optimize the data infrastructure (e.g., data marts, reporting layers) to support monitoring and complex analytical reporting.
Reporting and Visualization:
- Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Track, and report on a comprehensive set of metrics for all major risk types and compliance programs.
- Executive and Regulatory Reporting: Produce clear, concise, and dynamic reports and dashboards for the Board, Executive Management, and regulatory bodies. This includes translating complex quantitative findings into compelling narratives and visualizations that highlight risk trends, control effectiveness, and areas requiring immediate attention.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct deep-dive investigations and quantitative analysis in response to emerging risk events, new regulations, or specific business inquiries.
- Use of AI tools: Demonstrated ability to integrate AI-driven tools and techniques into data analysis and reporting workflows, including automating data preparation, generating predictive insights, and enhancing decision support through advanced analytics.
Methodology Governance and Validation:
- Risk Methodology Management: Establish and maintain a rigorous governance framework, ensuring all analytical methodologies and scoring systems are thoroughly documented, validated, and periodically reviewed according to internal policy and regulatory expectations.
- Control Testing Analytics: Utilize data analysis to automate and enhance the testing of internal controls and compliance processes, providing continuous assurance of their effectiveness.
Key Deliverables
- Monthly/Quarterly Risk Dashboards: Standardized reports on the overall risk posture.
- Regulatory Compliance Data Filings: Accurate and auditable data supporting required regulatory submissions.
- Risk Intelligence Briefs: Deep-dive analysis on emerging threats and systemic risks.
The base pay for this position is $175,000 - $185,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This position is located in Palo Alto, CA and will require in office attendance 2-3 times a week.
