Summary
Plans, assigns and maintains the workload schedule of team/unit members. Evaluates the performance of subordinates, identifies, strengths/weaknesses and provides employee development guidance and motivation. Acts as Public Health Fixed Asset Coordinator and Fleet Manager (over 50 vehicles). Maintains medical supply inventory to include ordering, receiving and storage of medical supplies and equipment. Deploys equipment and supplies to various sites during drills or actual emergencies. Processes and delivers incoming and outgoing mail. Receives, distributes/stores departmental supplies including prescription pharmaceuticals. Controls and maintains the departmental warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Plans and assigns work for team/work unit.
2. Directly responsible for supervision of team/work unit.
3. Orders, receives and maintains perpetual inventory and accounting of departmental medical supplies and equipment.
4. Acts as Departmental Fleet Manager. Responsible for over fifty (50) vehicles retention and updating of maintenance records and schedules, coordinates routine maintenance and repairs, records and monitors mileage and utilization.
5. Acts as Department Fixed Assets Coordinator. Maintains inventory of fixed assets, facilitates asset additions and deletions.
6. Coordinates and may receive the delivery of shipped goods.
7. Coordinates and/or deliver/pick up of mail, supplies and equipment to various county sites (County Admin, Graphics, Resource Connection, & Public Health sites etc).
8. Coordinates and compiles the annual departmental medical supplies contract bid specifications. Reviews and accepts the medical supplies annual contract bids from purchasing.
9. Responsible for planning and the deployment of supplies and equipment during Public Health drills and/or emergencies.
10. Prepares and submits required inventory and fleet management reports.
11. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years warehouse, two (2) years inventory control, and one (1) year supervisory experience is required.

Knowledge of inventory control methods, fleet management, and purchasing.
Excellent organizational skills. - Must posses a valid Texas Drivers License with a good driving record.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, stoop, lift, push, and pull.
