Define and execute the long-range mechanical engineering and technology roadmap aligned with product strategy, business priorities, technical risk, and program commitments.
Provide technical leadership for platform mechanical systems, thermal design, final test interfaces, power and systems integration, interface hardware, and common specifications.
Drive architecture reuse, modularity, standardization, and adoption of emerging materials, manufacturing technologies, thermal solutions, interconnect approaches, and development tools.
Guide complex multidisciplinary tradeoffs involving mechanical, electrical, signal-delivery, thermal, power, facilities, reliability, serviceability, cost, and schedule requirements.
Product Development and Lifecycle Execution
Lead execution from concept and architecture through detailed design, verification, qualification, production release, manufacturing ramp, and sustaining support.
Establish efficient, quality-focused engineering processes, standards, technical reviews, modeling methods, risk assessments, verification strategies, and corrective-action practices.
Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, safety, manufacturability, serviceability, cost, and schedule objectives; drive timely resolution of complex development, factory, and installed-base issues.
Establish meaningful KPIs for engineering execution, product performance, mechanical reliability, quality, cost, and organizational effectiveness.
Interface, Thermal, Power, and Reliability Leadership
Oversee development and integration of load boards, probe interfaces, connectors, cabling, interconnect systems, and related signal-delivery hardware for next-generation memory devices.
Promote close collaboration among mechanical, signal integrity, electrical, materials, validation, and system architecture teams.
Establish technical direction for thermal management, power-system integration, and mechanical reliability; use modeling, experimentation, verification, manufacturing data, and field data to improve product robustness.
Champion root-cause analysis, corrective action, lessons learned, and prevention of recurring issues.
