The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh is seeking compassionate Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to join our Pediatric Specialty Hospital team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate care to infants and children with medical complexities within a supportive, mission-driven environment.
This part-time position works a minimum of 40 hours per pay period (every two weeks) and includes two weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide competent, developmentally appropriate nursing care to patients
- Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and family-centered care at all times
- Utilize clinical knowledge, skills, and professional judgment in care delivery
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and care teams
- Adhere to legal, institutional, and professional nursing standards

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience preferred or enrolled into some type of secondary healthcare worker training (i.e., nursing school, CNA training)
- Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to communicate with patients, family members, medical staff, and families in sensitive situations.
- Ability to work cooperatively within the framework of the nursing team.
- Physical ability necessary for constant standing, walking, and lifting 10 to 50 lbs.
- High level of stamina necessary for the frequent lifting and moving of patients and the carrying of supplies and equipment.
- Emotional/mental ability to perform effectively and efficiently under the daily pressure of stressful or emergency situations.
