About Astera
Astera is the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) division of The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth (TLC), a nonprofit organization that has been strengthening children, families, schools, and communities for more than 50 years.
We believe exceptional outcomes begin with exceptional clinicians. Our mission is to build an ABA program where clinical excellence, meaningful relationships, and family-centered care come before productivity metrics.
As we launch our first ABA center, we have a unique opportunity to build something intentionally, from our clinical culture and programming to the experience we create for every child and family who walks through our doors.
This is more than joining a new clinic. It is an opportunity to help shape an organization from the ground up alongside a leadership team that values collaboration, innovation, and ethical care.
If you've ever wanted the opportunity to help build the kind of ABA program you've always wished existed, we'd love to meet you.
Position Summary
The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Clinical Supervisor provides comprehensive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities while serving as an integral part of Astera's growing clinical team.
In addition to conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and partnering with families, this role offers the opportunity to influence clinical programming, contribute to program development, and help establish the culture and standards of a growing nonprofit ABA organization.
We are seeking clinicians who are passionate about delivering outstanding clinical care while helping create an organization built on compassion, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Your Impact at Astera:
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, you will play a vital role in shaping the clinical experience for children, families, and staff. Your responsibilities will include:
Clinical Leadership
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral and skills assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
- Develop individualized treatment plans and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that reflect each child's unique strengths and needs.
- Analyze treatment data and make evidence-based clinical decisions to ensure meaningful progress.
- Provide direct ABA services when clinically indicated and model best practices for the clinical team.
- Support complex clinical cases through thoughtful problem-solving and collaboration.
Clinical Supervision & Staff Development
- Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in accordance with BACB supervision standards.
- Conduct competency assessments, treatment fidelity observations, and ongoing clinical coaching.
- Mentor and develop RBTs to promote confidence, clinical growth, and high-quality service delivery.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Family Partnership & Collaboration
- Build trusting relationships with children and their families through compassionate, family-centered care.
- Provide caregiver training that supports skill generalization and long-term success.
- Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, educators, physicians, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Clinical Excellence & Quality
- Maintain timely, accurate, and audit-ready documentation.
- Ensure services meet BACB ethical standards, HIPAA requirements, payer expectations, and organizational policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and outcome-focused clinical discussions.
- Promote evidence-based practice throughout all aspects of service delivery.
Program Development & Innovation
One of the most exciting aspects of joining Astera is the opportunity to help build something new.
We encourage our BCBAs to:
- Help shape the culture and clinical standards of our growing program.
- Develop specialty programming and innovative service offerings.
- Identify opportunities to improve the client and family experience.
- Share ideas that strengthen our clinical model and organizational growth.
