Join our Obstetrics/Postpartum Unit, 2B!
Primary Patient Population:
- Postpartum Mothers
- Couplet Care (Mom and Baby)
Primary skills utilized/learned:
- IV insertion- mother/newborn
- Postpartum/newborn assessments
- Time management, education, delegation
Personnel NI will work with :
- Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, OT/PT, Social Workers, Anesthesia team
Number of beds on unit:
- 27 beds, 14 bay nurseries

Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
- Completed fundamentals of nursing
- Currently registered in clinical rotations
- Continuous enrollment in a nursing program
- Eligibility to continue in the position is a maximum of 6 months upon graduating from nursing school
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
