About the Position
Total MD is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our growing Urgent Care team. This is an excellent opportunity for a bilingual provider who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
The ideal candidate will have prior urgent care experience and be comfortable independently evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients. Experience with personal injury, workers' compensation, or liability cases is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.
- Perform physical examinations and develop treatment plans.
- Perform common urgent care procedures including wound care, laceration repair, splinting, abscess incision and drainage, and other office-based procedures.
- Prescribe medications and provide appropriate patient education.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation using eClinicalWorks (eCW).
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to provide exceptional patient care.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining an efficient patient flow.
Qualifications
- Active Florida PA-C or APRN license.
- DEA eligible
- Current BLS/ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of Urgent Care experience required.
- Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Experience treating patients involved in personal injury, workers' compensation, or liability cases is a major plus.
- Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) is preferred.
