What You'll Learn
Working alongside experienced technicians, you'll assist with the installation of:
- Auxiliary Power Units (APUs)
- Cab heaters and air conditioning systems
- Transport refrigeration units
- Custom-built products and equipment
You'll gain real-world mechanical experience while learning valuable skills used throughout the transportation and skilled trades industries.
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with equipment installations
- Help assemble parts and components
- Prepare vehicles and equipment for installation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures and quality standards
- Assist with general shop duties as needed
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in high school, technical college, or trade school
- Interest in mechanics, diesel technology, HVAC, welding, or related trades
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Dependable with good attendance
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a hands-on environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
