Tri-State Overhead Crane continues to grow our customer base and expand into new areas, and we on the lookout for a strong service technician with heavy electrical experience to be part of our team in the Omaha area! We are headquartered in St. Louis with service locations primarily in the Midwest, but customers covering coast to coast. We have 110 employees, so a good size, not too small and not too corporate. We are different in that we design, build/fabricate, install, and inspect/service/repair overhead cranes, so we cover them through a full life cycle.
Keep reading to find out more about the role and the types of skills we look for!
As a Service Technician you will run electrical and mechanical diagnostics and deliver required repairs onsite at customer locations. Key responsibilities are going to be troubleshooting and repairing overhead cranes, crane controls, hoists and drives; performing scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment; and comprehensive quality inspections of overhead industrial cranes and hoists. You'll need to be able to read and understand work instructions, manuals, schematics, and fabrication drawings.
A minimum of 3-5 years of work experience as a technician in an industrial setting with strong electrical experience.
If you have experience working on overhead cranes, that's even better and will allow you to jump right in. The role will work on its own at times and at other times connect with our other techs on assignments. We provide a work vehicle, company credit card and company phone to help you get things done.
As an employee you get benefits (medical with an HSA option, dental, vision, voluntary short/long term disability and life insurance, and 401(k) with match), plus PTO and Sick Leave. One of the medical plans we offer is even free for employee coverage.
It is a physical job, so a few expectations. There will be prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks. You will need to frequently walk, climb, kneel, bend, reach overhead, push, pull, and use a ladder or lift. You might have to be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time. There will be plenty of times you will be exposed to heat, cold, noise and heights. And of course, you must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Hit the apply button if all that sounds like something you are interested in and have the skillset for! We'd love to talk with you!
We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
