In this role, you'll help ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial information while supporting the Controller in driving operational and financial excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and general ledger activities.
- Assist in maintaining internal controls and established accounting procedures.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare weekly payroll for Controller review and approval.
- Create journal entries and process accounting transactions.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with sales tax filings and other routine compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information and support business operations.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Assist with inventory reconciliations and inventory accounting.
- Support cost accounting and manufacturing reporting as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, or equivalent accounting experience.
- 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing or cost accounting is a plus; however, we are willing to train a motivated accounting professional who is eager to learn.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
