In this role as a M365 Collaboration Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and optimizing Microsoft Teams calling features, voice routing, and PSTN connectivity to support enterprise communications.
- Administering Microsoft 365 collaboration services, including Teams, SharePoint Online, and related workloads.
- Engineering M365 configurations and policies to improve collaboration, governance, and service reliability.
- Troubleshooting Teams voice, meeting, and collaboration issues by analyzing call logs and coordinating with SOC and engineering teams.
- Coordinating with AV, networking, and M365 teams to support integrated collaboration technologies and platform updates.
- Monitoring M365 service health and implementing improvements to strengthen performance, compliance, and user experience.

- The duties of this position may require the incumbent to carry a cell phone and be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week on a rotational basis, based on the needs of the organization.

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. BASIC REQUIREMENT: For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement below.
SK-13: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-12 level:
- Administering Microsoft 365 collaboration services including Teams, SharePoint Online, and related M365 workloads to ensure secure, reliable, and compliant organizational communication and collaboration;
- Engineering and supporting Microsoft Teams Calling functionality, including call routing, voice policies, PSTN integration, and troubleshooting voice service issues to maintain high-availability communications across the enterprise; and
- Implementing and optimizing M365 collaboration configurations by applying modern collaboration governance, monitoring service health, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support evolving business and security requirements.
Competency 1: Infrastructure Design: Uses and implements architecture and topology of software, hardware, and networks, including LANS, WANS, SAN, and telecommunications systems, their components and associated protocols and standards, and how they operate and integrate with one another and with associated controlling software.
Competency 2: Requirements Identification and Management: Uses principles and methods to identify, analyze, specify, design, and manage functional requirements through to user acceptance; includes translating functional requirements into technical requirements used for logical design, managing the systems lifecycle, and presenting alternative technologies or approaches.
Competency 3: Information System Ownership: Implements and uses methods, tools, and procedures, including the development of information security plans and standards, to facilitate the technical operation of agency systems, prevent information systems vulnerabilities, and provide or restore privacy and security of applications and information systems.
Competency 4: Technical Communication: Translates technical information into non-technical terms and accurately convey technical information to end users (e.g., staff, management) and outside parties, including the technical documentation of applications, systems, Standard Operating Procedures, etc.
