Location: Foster City, CA (Hybrid – up to 2 days remote/week)
Role Summary:
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple categories, including supplier selection, contract negotiations, supplier/CMO management, and support for new product development and commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support strategic sourcing projects, supplier selection, and contract negotiations
- Manage supplier and contract manufacturer relationships; support business reviews (BRMs)
- Prepare, review, and manage RFPs/RFQs/RFIs with cross-functional stakeholders
- Support sourcing needs from development through commercialization
- Coordinate internal and supplier meetings; track actions and decisions
- Resolve complex issues and communicate risks and progress to leadership
Qualifications
- 8+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech or relevant manufacturing environment
- BA/BS required; MA/MBA or PhD may substitute for experience
- Experience managing CMOs and/or direct material suppliers
- Strong ERP experience (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge of CMC development, GMPs, and FDA regulations (21 CFR Parts 11, 210, 211, 820)
- Proven cross-functional leadership and contract negotiation experience
- Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Combination products experience preferred
- Up to 20% domestic/international travel
