This role will work closely with enterprise architects, engineering teams, product stakeholders, and business leaders to define streaming architecture, guide technical implementation, and deliver strategic data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect enterprise-grade Kafka-based streaming applications and real-time data platforms.
- Build scalable, resilient, high-throughput, and low-latency distributed streaming solutions.
- Develop and guide implementation of streaming pipelines using Kafka Streams, Apache Flink, or similar technologies.
- Create high-performance backend and streaming components using Java and Python.
- Define architecture standards for Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, schema management, fault tolerance, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with architects, software engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and design decisions across teams.
- Ensure platform resilience, scalability, security, observability, and operational readiness.
- Mentor engineering teams on Kafka best practices, streaming design patterns, and distributed systems principles.
- Communicate technical direction and solution recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience designing and delivering Kafka-based streaming applications in complex enterprise environments.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, Apache Flink, or similar real-time streaming technologies.
- Strong coding experience in Java and Python for building scalable, high-performance applications.
- Solid understanding of high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
- Experience designing resilient platforms with fault tolerance, scalability, monitoring, and recovery capabilities.
- Strong understanding of real-time data pipeline architecture and event-driven systems.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NoSQL databases and modern data platforms such as MongoDB or ClickHouse.
- Exposure to AI/ML system design, machine learning data pipelines, or data-driven solution development.
- Strong enterprise software engineering background, including Spring Boot and middleware-based architectures.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
- Ability to influence technical strategy, architecture direction, and engineering best practices.
- Experience with cloud-based streaming platforms and containerized deployments is a plus.

- Must be available to work onsite or in a hybrid model as required by the client.
