Job Description
The UMKC School of Medicine is seeking a part-time faculty member for the UMKC Physician Assistant (PA) Program.
The program serves students on two campuses: at the UMKC School of Medicine and the MU School of Medicine in Columbia. The medical director’s role is to advocate for the program through active participation in the program and support the development and review of the program curriculum and competencies to meet current practice standards as they relate to the PA role. This position blends clinical leadership, educational oversight, and strategic guidance, helping to shape the next generation of PAs. Duties may include clinical partner cultivation, teaching, student academic advising and remediation support, committee service, and participation in the program’s ongoing self-study, accreditation, assessment, continuous improvement processes.
This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible, unranked/non-tenure track academic position.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirements for this position include currently or previously licensed allopathic or osteopathic physician and currently or previously board-certified.
- Previous teaching experience is desirable.
