This position is mainly responsible for general accounting functions for a subsidiary company and works closely with Accounting Team on month-end close, account reconciliations, and cash management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs general accounting functions for Upper Deck’s subsidiary company Collect Forever
- Maintains accounting for owner’s other entities, all done through QuickBooks.
- Prepares journal entries and assists with month end close process.
- Maintains accurate records, general ledger accounts and performs monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Cash management.
- Assists with audits and prepares audit work papers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (preferred) or equivalent experience.

- Knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
- Account balancing and reconciling skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising independent judgment.
- A high degree of confidentiality required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, formulas), experience with JD Edwards OneWorld a plus.
