We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as an IT Support Technician, Journeyman to work out of Shriever SFB, CO.
PAY: $98,000-$102,000
JOB SUMMARY:
This role is integral to ensuring the operational readiness of IT systems supporting national security. You’ll provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues, and directly contribute to maintaining system uptime and reliability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
System Maintenance & Support
- Operate and maintain networked and standalone systems across Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret-SCI levels.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and track IT-related issues through a government-provided trouble ticket system.
- Support Tier I, II, and III help desk functions, ensuring timely resolution of all IT-related inquiries.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal teams to isolate and resolve system faults.
User Access Management
- Manage user accounts for both classified and unclassified networks, including account creation, deletion, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with network procedures for provisioning and de-provisioning access on NIPRNet.
- Maintain and process User Access Request forms in accordance with established guidelines.
Hardware & Software Support
- Perform installations, configurations, and troubleshooting for Windows and Apple PCs, network printers, and software.
- Plan and execute technical refreshes of networked systems, ensuring smooth transitions and continued functionality.
- Provide technical support for applications and hardware used within the facility, ensuring systems remain operational at all times.
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as the first line of customer support, providing timely responses to walk-up, phone, and email inquiries.
- Track communication system outages, assign ticket numbers, and maintain a historical record of problem resolutions.
- Facilitate the scheduling and coordination of VTCs (Video Teleconferences) and other technical services.
Additional Responsibilities
- Execute additional duties as assigned, with flexibility during National Exercises.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years of IT technical support and computer maintenance.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Associate’s degree is preferred; additional years of experience may be used in lieu of education.
- CompTia Security + with CE
