Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Manager of Operations for our Precision Etched Parts division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead manufacturing processes, optimize production workflows, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will excel in manufacturing management, supply chain analytics, and process enhancement to ensure operational excellence and high-quality output.
Duties
- Lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations for precision etched parts, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.
- Develop and implement production plans using ERP systems such as SAP and MRP to meet customer delivery schedules.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles and lean management techniques to optimize processes.
- Manage supply chain activities including procurement, inventory control, and logistics to support seamless production flow.
- Analyze production data using Excel and other tools to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on process improvements, mechanical troubleshooting, and quality control measures.
- Monitor plant performance metrics, enforce safety protocols, and foster a culture of operational excellence across the team.
Experience
- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in precision parts or metal fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, MRP planning, and supply chain management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead lean manufacturing initiatives and implement process improvements effectively.
- Excellent skills in data analysis using Excel for operational insights and decision-making.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and quality control standards.
- Experience managing plant operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement strategies.
Special Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis, modeling, and KPI reporting
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Working knowledge of chemical processing equipment including etch lines, wet benches, and chemical handling systems
- Understanding of process control, SPC, and capability analysis
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for production planning and tracking
- Experience with Lean tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, and root cause analysis
- Knowledge of safety standards related to chemical handling and hazardous materials
- Ability to analyze and optimize manufacturing workflows and equipment utilization
