What You'll Do

As a Residential Plumbing Service Technician, you'll respond to scheduled service calls to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential plumbing systems while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You'll troubleshoot plumbing issues, repair leaks, replace fixtures, clear drain blockages, install plumbing components, and restore systems to proper operation with quality workmanship.

You'll educate homeowners about repair options, replacement recommendations, and preventative maintenance solutions that help protect their plumbing systems. You'll maintain accurate service documentation, keep your company vehicle organized and properly stocked, communicate closely with dispatch and office staff throughout the day, and represent Vailes Home Improvement Services with professionalism on every call. Experienced technicians may also mentor apprentices and developing plumbers by sharing technical knowledge, promoting best practices, and helping strengthen customer service skills.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking experienced plumbing professionals with at least three years of residential plumbing service experience and a strong understanding of residential plumbing systems. Candidates should be comfortable diagnosing plumbing problems, performing repairs, installing fixtures, soldering, threading pipe, testing gas lines, and completing a wide variety of residential plumbing service work.

Knowledge of local plumbing codes, industry best practices, and safe work procedures is important. Successful candidates should possess excellent troubleshooting abilities, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain technical information in a way homeowners can easily understand.
